Yavuz Aydın graduated from the Mechanical Faculty of Istanbul Technical University as an Aeronautical Engineer in 1981. He has worked in the Turkish Air Force and the Ministry of Defense for 18 years in aircraft and engine overhaul facilities and project management departments in Turkey and the F-16 Aircraft System Program Office in the USA.  

Aydın joined General Electric Power Systems in 1999 as Sales Manager and became Region Services Sales Leader in 2003. He then assumed the Services Sales Accounts Director role in 2007 to cover Turkey, Israel, and CIS countries.

During his 17 years of GE career, Aydın has worked or been actively involved in power generation projects totaling 7200 Megawatts in Türkiye and 3750 MW abroad. Those include power generation, cogeneration, and district heating projects.

Aydın left GE in January 2017 and became a major equity partner of ENERKO Ltd of Turkey. Enerko works in power and cogeneration projects as a consultant.

He is currently  Chairman of COGEN-Turkish Association and a member of the Executive Board of COGEN-Europe Association in Belgium. He is also an executive board member of Cogen World Coalition. He can be contacted at yavuz@dinamo.co.
